Studio is a study planner for iPhone.
You give it a class and a due date. It works out which days you should do the work on, puts it on those days, and then shows you only what belongs to today.

How it works
Most planners record deadlines. Studio schedules the work in front of them. An essay due Friday isn’t one entry on Friday — it’s 45 minutes on Tuesday, 45 on Wednesday and 30 on Thursday, so Friday is a hand-in rather than an all-nighter.
With a few classes running at once it does the same thing across all of them, keeping any single day from filling up. You never arrange this by hand; you enter due dates and it decides the rest.
Anything you miss moves to the next day rather than disappearing, and overdue work stays on Today until it’s done.
How early it starts
One setting controls how far ahead of a deadline the scheduler works.
- Relaxed
- Schedules later and accepts a busier day when it comes. Reasonable if you genuinely work better close to a deadline.
- Balanced
- Sits in the middle of the available window. This is the default.
- Strict
- Starts as early as it can and keeps each day light — more days doing a little.
Focus Mode
Choose the apps you want blocked and start a session. While it runs, opening one of them shows a Studio screen instead. It uses Apple’s Screen Time framework, so the block is real and the list of apps you picked stays on your device — we never receive it.
It is a self-control aid, not a parental control. Anyone holding the phone can end a session.

Importing your timetable
Take a photo of the schedule your school gave you and Studio reads it into classes and assignments, instead of you typing them in at the start of term.
Text recognition gets things wrong. Studio shows you everything it found and waits for you to approve it, so check the dates before importing.

The scheduler is in the free version, with no trial period. Pro raises the class limit and adds the heavier features.

Questions
When does it launch?
There's no date yet. Studio is in testing. Joining the waitlist means you hear about it the day it's on the App Store.
Is it free?
The free version has three classes, unlimited assignments in them, and the whole scheduler. There's no trial period and no card required.
Does Focus Mode actually block apps?
Yes, through Apple's Screen Time framework — a blocked app shows a Studio screen during a session. It can always be ended from the phone, so treat it as a self-control aid rather than a lock.
Can you see which apps I block?
No. That list is handled by Apple's framework and stays on the device. We don't receive it and can't see your use of other apps.
How accurate is reading a timetable from a photo?
Accurate enough to save typing, not accurate enough to trust without checking. Studio shows you what it extracted and waits for approval before importing.
What happens to my work?
It's stored against your account so it syncs between your devices. You can delete individual items, clear classes and assignments in bulk, or delete the account from Settings. We don't sell data or use it for advertising.
Which devices?
iPhone on iOS 17 or later. There's no iPad layout or Mac app, and no Android version planned.
What happens to my email address?
You get one message, when Studio launches. It isn't a newsletter and it isn't shared. Ask us any time and we'll delete it.
